About

Hi! My name is Melissa Carrington, and I’m a SAG-eligible voice actor and musician from Orange County, California. I’ve been a performer my whole life, dancing in my first dance recital at the age of three, booking my first on camera commercial at the age of seven while I was represented by the agency Kelman/Arletta, and performing in many community theater and school plays and musicals growing up. I took a long break from acting to pursue classical music, but I never really stopped wanting to be an actor. After a broken leg and ankle turned my life upside down, I decided I was ready to turn it upside down even more and come back to acting! As a voice actor, I’ve played everything from pixies to princesses to creepy diner waitresses to valley girls to comic relief characters with tragic pasts (and even the occasional totally normal person) in video games, animation, and audio dramas. I’m always looking for the opportunity to bring new and interesting characters to life!I’m also a classically trained musician and private music teacher. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from CSU Long Beach, and a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from the USC Thornton School of Music, where I received the Winds and Percussion Department Award. As an oboist, I’ve performed as both a soloist and ensemble member with many ensembles throughout Southern California, and have been lucky enough to play in both Carnegie Hall in New York and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. When I’m not acting, teaching music lessons, or scrolling through social media (looking for auditions, obviously), I like to play video games (mostly RPGs), read (mostly fantasy novels), and journal with fountain pens (and fancy paper). If you’d like to know more about my credits and training, you can check out my resume here.If you’d like to get in touch, you can email me here. I look forward to hearing from you!
